In other words, as people lose access to their wallets, send REP to the wrong address, or just plain die, how will the ecosystem make up for the loss of these REP tokens? Certainly the current amount of 11m will last for years to come, but in the not too distant future it's not hard to imagine this becoming somewhat of a problem.


There are 11,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 indivisible token units in circulation. This means that even if 10,999,999 tokens were lost forever, there would still be plenty of divisibility of the remaining tokens for them to be useful.
